Established in 1934, Great Smoky Mountains National Park is renowned for its biological diversity. It covers more than 800 square miles, and elavations range from 850 feet at Abrams Creek to 6,643 feet at Clingmans Dome. More than 1,500 flowering plants live in the park, and there are more species of native trees in the Smokies than in all of norther Europe. Each packaged boxed set contains 20 Smokies wildlife note cards with envelopes featuring firefly, fox, black bear, salamander and owl.

 

All proceeds generated through the sale of Smokies Life merchandise go to Great Smoky Mountains National Park to support projects and services.

The Great Smokies Welcome Center is located on U.S. 321 in Townsend, TN, 2 miles from the west entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Visitors can get information about things to see and do in and around the national park and shop from a wide selection of books, gifts, and other Smokies merchandise. Daily, weekly, and annual parking tags for the national park are also available.
